number one

So, my name is Freya, and I draw things.

I spend my uni lectures drawing these types of things, all in the backs of notebooks and such, so I will doubtless spend a while catching up on posting the ones I have done so far. Whenever people spot me scribbling away during lectures I assume they think I'm being distracted, but it's quite the opposite; I've always found it easier to concentrate if my hands are busy doing something.

Incase you're wondering, I'm not doing an art subject at uni. I thought about it, but decided that I could always draw in my own time, whereas it would be harder to teach myself other things I'm interested in. (Also I was too lazy to submit my folios, mostly because I wasn't too happy with the ones I did in school.) I'm pretty sure I made the right choice. Maybe. I'm hoping when second year comes around I'll be able to choose an arty elective and use it as my creative outlet.

So yes. First post. Think I've covered most of the basics. This is pretty much going to be a place where I can upload things I've drawn, written, found interesting and that kind of thing. At some point I may attempt to branch out and perhaps harness my biting wit in order to produce something that's (hopefully) vaguely amusing, but we'll see.
